Rent-a-Room's rooms are big, fresh, clean and attractively decorated. All our rooms have air-con, fridge and private telephone, some with kitchenette/ pantry. We also offer photocopying, faxing and emailing - the most important facility without losing contact with your family and friends all over the world.

Superb location

Rent-a-room is located in Tsim Sha Tsui's golden mile shopping area, only one minute from Jordan MTR (subway) station. It's perfect for all walks of life. Shops, restaurants, cinemas and the central business district are all within easy reach.

Rent-a-Room: Our rooms and facilities

All our rooms are fully furnished and equipped with either double, single, twin, triple beds or dorm bunks, writing desk, shelf, armchairs, wardrobe and table/wall lamp.

Most rooms have en-suite shower room and toilet and we have hot and cold water 24 hours a day.

All our rooms also have a color television, fridge, private telephone with your own direct phone number for voice & internet access and air-conditioning (essential in Hong Kong's humid climate).

Self-serviced laundry and dryer facilities are provided in the building. Cooking facility is available in some rooms with fully equipped kitchenette/pantry.

If required, we can provide maid services, ironing, faxing, photocopying and personal computer facilities at minimal charges.

All residents can use our computer facilities to check and send email - now the most important facility without losing contact with your family and friends all over the world.

We have a small outdoor patio behind the building which our guests use to sunbathe or to socialize and enjoy a cold beer in the evening

We are right next door to Jordan MTR (subway) station, and only two stops away from the central business district on Hong Kong Island.

We are within walking distance of the Star Ferry, the Kowloon-Canton Railway Station (for travelling to China and the New Territories) and China Hong Kong City Ferry Terminal (where the Macau and China ferries are located).

Eating out

The Tsim Sha Tsui/Jordan area is perhaps the liveliest and most colorful part of Hong Kong. There are literally hundreds of restaurants on our doorstep. Many of them stay open until 3 or 4am. You can dine on everything from traditional Cantonese dim sum to Thai, Mongolian, Japanese and Indonesian specialities.

There are also many snack and fast-food shops nearby serving delicious wonton noodles, congee and hotpots for a few dollars. Or, if you prefer, you can choose from Pizza Hut, McDonalds, the Spaghetti House and many other Western-style eating places.

Nightlife

There are dozens of pubs, karaoke bars and discos nearby for those who want to sample Hong Kong's nightlife. There are nearly a dozen cinemas within walking distance of Rent-a-Room. All the big international blockbusters are shown here, or try some local movies, which are full of action and humor.
The Cultural Centre, with a concert hall, grand theatre and studio theatre offers music, drama and dance from internationally renowned performers and from Hong Kong artists.

Sightseeing

Tourists will find Rent-a-Room is an excellent base for sightseeing. We are close to the famous Temple Street night market, the bird market, the jade market, and the Ladies market in Mong Kok.
We are also close to the Star Ferry where you can enjoy fabulous harbor tours and in the evenings you can enjoy the bright lights of Nathan Road or wander round the harbor promenade and savor the Hong Kong skyline.

Shopping

If it's available on this planet, chances are you can buy it near here. Right on our doorstep is the busy shopping area of Tsim Sha Tsui, where you can pick up anything from designer suits to factory overruns.

We are close to the many electrical equipment retailers on Nathan Road. There plenty of supermarkets, drug stores, fresh food markets, bookstores, banks, foreign exchange bureaus, post offices, computer centers nearby. And we are close to the Queen Elizabeth hospital and many doctors' clinics.

Sports and relaxation

For those who like to exercise we are just a few minutes from Kowloon Park with its fountains and flower gardens, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, jogging trail, badminton, squash and table tennis facilities.

Working

As Rent-a-Room is right next door to Jordan MTR station getting to other parts of Hong Kong is easy. You can be in Admiralty on Hong Kong island within 10 minutes and in Wanchai or Central within 15 minutes.
